New Delhi, 26 October (Hindustan Reporter). The Income Tax Department on Saturday extended the deadline for filing income tax returns by corporates for assessment year 2024-25 by 15 days to November 15. The Central Board of Direct Taxes (CBDT) has issued a notification related to this.
In a statement issued by the Finance Ministry, the Central Board of Direct Taxes (CBDT) said in a circular that the deadline of October 31 will be extended. According to CBDT, the new deadline for assessment year 2024-25 (for filing income tax returns of corporates for the current financial year 2023-24) is now November 15, 2024.
It is noteworthy that earlier in September, CBDT had extended the deadline for filing income tax audit report by seven days to October 7.
