UGC-NET June 2024 Exam Cancelled : The Education Department has cancelled the UGC-NET June 2024 exam to be held on 18 June-2024 in various cities of the country. The National Testing Agency (NTA) conducted the exam in two shifts in OMR (pen and paper) mode.

NTA conducted the UGC-NET June-2024 exam in OMR (pen and paper) mode in two shifts from 18-June-2024 in various cities of the country. However, the exam has been canceled after the Home Ministry received inputs of complaints of malpractice in the exam. Earlier, there were scams in the NEET exam as well and the matter reached the Supreme Court. Most importantly, like UGC-NET, NEET is also conducted by NTA.
The investigation was handed over to the CBI
The education department has decided to cancel the UGC-NET June 2023 exam to ensure transparency in the examination process. Now the exam will be conducted again and its information will be shared separately. Apart from this, the investigation of this matter has been handed over to the CBI.
More than 11 lakh candidates appeared in the exam
The Ministry of Education said, 'A fresh examination will be conducted and its information will be given separately. The government is committed to ensuring the purity of the examination and protecting the interests of the students.' It is worth noting that the UGC NET exam June-2024 was conducted at 1205 examination centers in 317 cities across the country, in which 11,21,225 candidates participated. The UGC-NET June-2024 exam was conducted on June 18 in two shifts. The first shift was from 9.30 am to 12.30 pm and the second shift was from 3.00 pm to 6.00 pm.
Controversy in NEET exam too
Let us tell you that just a few days ago the issue of NEET exam was raised and this exam was also organized by the National Testing Agency (NTA), now questions are being raised on the credibility of NTA. For the first time, the National Testing Agency has taken such decisions on the results of NEET Exam-2024, which has raised questions on the issue of irregularities in the exam. The matter of NEET exam also reached the Supreme Court, where while hearing the petitions filed after the declaration of NEET results, the Supreme Court said that 1563 students who got grace marks will have to appear for the exam again. We will not stop counseling. For this, the Supreme Court has issued a notice and sought a reply in 2 weeks. Now the next hearing will be on July 8.
