Dehradun, 09 May (HS). Positive information came on Thursday regarding forest fire incidents. All this has been possible due to the activeness and efforts of Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami. The government has also claimed that the incidents of forest fire have now started decreasing. The Forest Department says that no major incident of forest fire has come to light on Thursday.
In fact, these days the incidents of forest fire have given sleepless nights to the administration. Action has also been taken against many careless officers and employees. Government machinery, administrative staff and entire human resources including Air Force, NDRF are mobilized to extinguish the forest fire. Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami himself is keeping an eye on the incidents of forest fire. Talking about the last 24 hours, 25 fire incidents have been reported and 52.1 hectares of forest have been destroyed.
According to the report released on Thursday by Nishant Verma, Additional Chief Conservator of Forests, Forest Fire and Disaster Management, Uttarakhand, a total of 1063 fire incidents have occurred from May 1, 2023 to May 8, 2024. 1437.948 hectares of forest have been affected in the fire. So far, a total of four people have been injured in the fire and five have died.
