Sukhu government of Himachal Pradesh has made a big announcement for the girls and women of the state. All women in the age group of 18 years to 80 years will get Rs 1500 per month. Indira Gandhi Pyari Behna Sukh Samman Nidhi Yojana has been started. About 8 lakh women of the state will get the benefit of this scheme. It is noteworthy that the Karnataka government has also announced to give two thousand rupees per month to the women of the state under the Griha Laxmi Yojana.
Rs 800 crore will be spent annually, CM Sukhwinder Singh Sukhu said this
Himachal Pradesh CM Sukhwinder Singh Sukhu, while addressing the media, said that Rs 800 crore will be spent annually on this initiative – Indira Gandhi Pyari Behna Sukh Samman Nidhi Yojana. More than five lakh women will come under its purview. He said that with this, five out of 10 election promises have been fulfilled and reiterated that the old pension scheme has been restored, which will benefit 1.36 lakh employees of the state.

I am making an important announcement as a mark of respect to all of you. Under Indira Gandhi Pyari Behna Sukh Samman Nidhi Yojana, all the women of the state will be given Rs 1500 per month. Griha Lakshmi Yojana was started by the Karnataka government in August last year. More than 1 crore women had registered for this scheme. The benefit of this scheme is not available to those women whose husbands pay income tax. Apart from this, those who have ration card will also not be eligible for this scheme.
