News of School Closed : Heavy rains have wreaked havoc in many states across the country. Waterlogging has become a major problem in many cities. Yesterday, heavy rains in many districts of Maharashtra caused a lot of trouble to the common people. Now there are reports of heavy rains in Uttarakhand's capital Dehradun as well, due to which rivers are in spate and flood-like conditions have arisen in many areas. As a result, the administration has closed all schools, giving priority to the safety and health of school-going children. All government and private schools and Anganwadi centers from class 1 to 12 will remain closed in Dehradun.
Also, a huge crowd of Shiva devotees is gathering in Haridwar to take Ganga water and more crowd is expected in the coming days. In such a situation, DM Dhiraj Singh Garbyal has ordered to keep all the schools of the district closed from 27 July to 2 August. In view of the huge crowd gathering in the Kanwar Yatra, holidays have been declared in the schools of four districts of Uttar Pradesh.

This announcement has been made citing a lot of difficulties in commuting to school. All schools and colleges will remain closed from 27 July to 2 August 2024. Orders have been issued to keep government and private schools and colleges closed in Saharanpur, Meerut, Muzaffarnagar and Hapur from 27 July to 2 August.
Schools closed due to rain in Himachal Pradesh

IMD has issued a yellow alert for rain. Due to rain, school holidays were already declared in Himachal Pradesh. There is an order to close the schools from 22 June 2024 to 29 July 2024. However, if heavy rains continue, the date of closure of schools may be extended.
