Got the reward for defeating Mamta, took command in Haryana too, silent hero of BJP's hat-trick

5 Dharmendra Pradhan

There are many reasons for BJP's historic third victory in Haryana. Veteran leaders of BJP have contributed to this victory. Along with the popularity of PM Modi, the strategy of Dharmendra Pradhan, the chief strategist of the saffron party and close to Union Home Minister Amit Shah, has played an important role in BJP's hat-trick. He stays behind the scenes and makes strategies on various fronts to defeat the enemy. Earlier he had achieved this feat in his home state Odisha.

Before the Haryana elections, he was given the responsibility of Uttarakhand in 2017 and Uttar Pradesh in 2022. He was also given the responsibility of 2021 fight in West Bengal. Dharmendra Pradhan was in charge of Nandigram, although several leaders were given responsibilities in Bengal. Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee lost the election from this seat.

BJP sources say that for this reason the party has given him responsibility in Haryana also. BJP was facing anti-incumbency wave in Haryana. Apart from this, the rebels have also increased the concern of the party. Here the BJP had to face Jats, farmers, military candidates upset with the Agniveer scheme, party workers shaken by the heavy Congress campaign and finally rebels within the BJP upset with the ticket distribution.

Sources said that Dharmendra Pradhan's plan started by standing at the spot. He did not go out of Haryana for more than a month. They set up camps in Rohtak, Kurukshetra and Panchkula. He worked at the grassroots level. Listened to party workers and leaders and contacted the central leadership on their behalf. He energized the workers, boosted enthusiasm in the Congress campaign and helped in the selection of candidates.

A report quoted a BJP leader as saying, “He used to go to the grassroots level and hold small meetings. He took real-time feedback from workers and reported it to the leadership and promptly rectified the deficiencies. He was unhappy with working in Haryana.” Pacified people, identified weak booths and adopted strong workers from other parties.” He also reduced the tension created after preparing the list of candidates.
