Hindu Heritage Month in America: There is a good news before the swearing-in ceremony of America’s newly elected President Donald Trump. The US state of Ohio has declared the month of October as Hindu Heritage Month. The whole of India will be proud of this decision of Ohio. It is noteworthy that Ohio Governor Mike DeWine has signed a bill declaring the month of October as “Hindu Heritage Month” in the American state.

Who brought this bill?

Former state senator Neeraj Antani also signed on to the bill proposed by DeWine. He was the main sponsor and supporter of this legislation last year. The bill was signed in the presence of several other community leaders from the state. In this regard, Neeraj Antani said that I am very grateful to Governor DeWine for signing this bill to declare October as Hindu Heritage Month in Ohio.

The bill will come into effect in 90 days

Antani said Governor DeWine has a long relationship with the Hindu community in Ohio and I am grateful for his leadership. After two long years of work, I am very happy that I could achieve this for my community. The bill has now officially become law and will take effect in 90 days. This will be Ohio’s first official Hindu Heritage Month since October 2025.
