There is good news for the passengers of Namo Bharat train. Now feeder bus service will be available at all 25 stations between Delhi and Meerut on the Namo Bharat corridor, which will bring and take passengers from their homes. Along with feeder buses, cabs and auto rickshaws, two-wheelers will also be made available for hire at all stations. The said facility is available between Modinagar, Duhai and Sahibabad. Now NCRTC has sought proposals from companies for all the stations of Meerut.
According to NCRTC officials, it is in constant touch with feeder operators, cabs, auto rickshaws and bike taxi service providers to improve and streamline the last mile connectivity for the convenience of passengers on the Delhi-Ghaziabad-Meerut RRTS corridor. To expand these services, NCRTC has again sought proposals on a large scale so that facilities can be provided at all 25 stations from Delhi to Meerut.
Bicycles are also available for rent: According to NCRTC, there will also be a provision of two-wheelers and bicycles for rent around the stations for passengers to complete short-term tasks. Passengers will be able to avail this facility by paying on an hourly basis and after the work is over, they will be able to park their vehicle or bicycle back at the vehicle/cycle point built in the stations and travel further by Namo Bharat trains. These efforts of NCRTC will create a better and friendly transport system, which will not only reduce pollution but will also reduce road accidents.
