Indian Railways Latest Update: Railways has made a big change for the convenience of rail passengers. Railways has converted special trains into general passenger trains, giving relief to lakhs of passengers traveling by trains. Railways has changed the numbers of special trains running with number 0 from July 1 to their old numbers. According to a report by Zee Business, from July 1, these trains will run with old number plates and old fares.

Return after 4 years

Let us tell you that during the Corona period, passenger trains were run as special trains by adding 0. The fare of these trains was also higher than passenger trains. Now after three years, the Railways is going to change the number of special trains and run them again like normal trains. These special trains have a total of 119 trains including Lucknow Division, Moradabad as well as Ambala Division. Let us tell you that during Covid in the year 2020, the Railways ran trains as a special category by adding 0. The fare of these trains had increased directly three times.

What is the special train?

During the Corona period, the trains whose numbers were started from zero by the Railways were run as special trains. The fare of these trains is higher than the normal trains. Now the Railways has decided to change this from July 1. Obviously the numbers of these trains will change, their fares will change.

With the change in train number, the fare has also decreased

Railways had started reducing the increased fares of these trains which were zeroed due to Covid from February 2024 itself. Railways has also gradually restored the fares of passenger trains from February this year. Now the zeros are being removed from the numbers of these trains and they are being restored as before. A total of 119 trains are included in this list, whose numbers have changed from today.

Why did the Railways take this decision?

Let us tell you that after the Corona epidemic, the numbers of many trains were changed and they were run as special trains. Their fare is also higher than that of trains. Railways has withdrawn it from July 1. That is, from July 1, these trains will run with the old numbers.
