Using a Rotational Panel Sampling Design

The information given by the ministry said that rotational panel sampling design has been used to collect data in urban areas. Recognizing the importance of labor force data, the Periodic Labor Force Survey (PLFS) was launched by the National Sample Survey Office (NSSO) in April 2017. The PLFS had two main objectives. The first objective is to collect important short-term employment and unemployment data such as labor force participation rate and worker population ratio of three months in urban areas. The second objective is to estimate employment and unemployment indicators in both 'usual situation' and 'current weekly situation' CWS in both rural and urban areas on an annual basis.
