Good news for Sikkim government employees The state government has declared holidays for employees on the second and fourth Saturdays of every month. Under this, the government has asked the employees to strictly follow the working hours from 10 am to 4:30 pm. An order has also been issued in this regard by the Personnel Department.
Now you will get the benefit of 2 holidays
The circular states that all government employees should reach office by 10 am and remain present in their respective offices by 4:30 pm. If any employee reaches the workplace after 10:30 am or leaves the office before 4:30 pm without valid official reasons, his/her half-day casual leave will be considered. The circular also asks department heads to conduct surprise checks of employees' attendance.
They will get the benefit of maternity leave
The Himachal Pradesh Cabinet also decided to provide child care leave for a maximum of 730 days during their entire service period to women government employees who have children with a minimum of 40 per cent disability.
2 special holidays will be available in November
- The Himanta Biswa Sarma government has also given the gift of leave to the employees of Assam. The state government has announced two special holidays (6 to 8 November) for its employees in November, so that the employees can spend time with their parents and family members. Employees cannot use these holidays for their personal work.
- The order states that the holidays should be used only to take care of the parents, respect them and spend time with them. Apart from this, the 9th is Saturday and the 10th is Sunday. The office remains closed on these days. Those who do not have parents or in-laws will not be able to enjoy these holidays.
