To strengthen traffic and connectivity in Delhi-NCR, work on the Jewar Greenfield Expressway (Jewar Airport Link Road) project is running fast. An important part of this expressway-the Kondli-Ghaziabad-Palwal (KGP) Expressway, also known as the Eastern Peripheral Expressway-is about to start the work of the girder, which will help the project to achieve a large milestone. Traffic routes have been changed keeping security and convenience for this work.
Jewar Greenfield Expressway will significantly reduce the distance between Delhi NCR and Jewar Airport (Noida International Airport) and the time of travel. This will prove to be an important link for connectivity, making it easier for both passengers and goods. Girder installation is usually raising heavy machinery and large structure, which requires a safe environment and controlled traffic.
Traffic Diversion:
To avoid any kind of accident or obstruction while imposing girder, traffic on the Kondli-Ghaziabad-Palwal Expressway will be temporarily converted. Passengers and drivers are advised to follow the prescribed alternative routes and take special care near the construction site. For this, signage and traffic policemen will be deployed, which will show the right direction to the vehicles. This temporary change is being done to ensure the safety and speed of the project.
Importance of Project:
The Jewar Greenfield Expressway is not just a road project, but it is a game changer for the development of the entire region.
-
Airport Connectivity: It will directly connect the International Airport being built in Jewar to the National Capital Region, which will provide great relief to the air travel.
-
Economic Development: Better connectivity will promote logistics and industries, which will create new employment opportunities in Gautam Budh Nagar and surrounding areas.
-
Traffic burden reduced: This expressway will also help in reducing traffic pressure on the existing roads of Delhi-NCR.
With the completion of this project, the pace of development in the area will be faster and people’s lives will be easier.
