News India Live, Digital Desk: The Meteorological Department has given a big good news for lakhs of people preparing for Chhath festival in Jharkhand. According to the forecast, the weather is likely to remain completely clear during Chhath Puja, due to which the devotees will not face any problem in offering Arghya to Lord Sun. But there is a warning along with this relief. The Meteorological Department says that as soon as Chhath ends, the weather patterns in the state will change rapidly and cold may knock with heavy rains in many areas.
How will the weather be during Chhath Puja?
According to the Meteorological Centre, on the main days of Chhath, i.e. from October 25 to 28, the weather will be dry and clear in most parts of Jharkhand. However, due to the partial effect of a low pressure area forming in the Bay of Bengal, the southern and western parts of the state may remain cloudy and there may be light drizzle at some places, but meteorologists have clarified that this rain will not be so much that there will be any major hindrance in the festival. Overall, the devotees will be able to perform Chhath puja peacefully and without any hindrance.
There will be heavy rain as soon as Chhath ends
The real change will be seen after the completion of Chhath. The Meteorological Department has predicted a cyclonic storm in the Bay of Bengal, whose direct impact will be visible on Jharkhand around October 29.
- Impact in Ranchi and surrounding areas also: Central and south-western parts of the state including Ranchi will also remain cloudy and light to moderate rain may occur.
Cold will knock after the rain
After this period of rain ends, the cold will increase. The Meteorological Department estimates that after the rain, the temperature may drop by 2 to 4 degrees Celsius, which will increase the coolness of the morning and evening. People have been advised to prepare to remove warm clothes after Chhath.
In short, the great festival of Chhath will be enjoyed amidst pleasant weather, but as soon as the festival is over, the people of Jharkhand will have to be prepared for rain and cold.
