First change: LPG prices reduced
Oil marketing companies change the prices of LPG cylinders on the first day of every month and the revised prices have been released today, June 1, 2024 at 6 am. According to the IOCL website, LPG prices have been cut for the third consecutive month. The price of 19 kg commercial gas cylinder has come down by Rs 72. However, this time also there has been no change in the price of 14 kg domestic gas cylinder.
Before the voting of the last phase of Lok Sabha elections started at 6 am, oil marketing companies gave a big gift to LPG consumers. After the latest change, from June 1, the price of 19 kg commercial gas cylinder will be Rs 69.50 in Delhi, Rs 72 in Kolkata, Rs 69 in Mumbai. In Chennai, it has become cheaper by Rs 50 and Rs 70.50.
Second change – reduction in new ATF rate
Oil marketing companies have also changed the price of aircraft fuel i.e. Air Turbine Fuel (ATF) and this may affect your air travel. In fact, according to IOCL, the price of ATF in Delhi has been reduced from Rs 1,01,643.88 per kg to Rs 94,969.01 per kg. Apart from this, its price in Kolkata has come down from Rs 1,10,583.13 per kiloliter to Rs 1,03,715 per kiloliter, in Mumbai from Rs 95,173.70 per kiloliter to Rs 88,834.27 per kiloliter and in Chennai from Rs 1,09,898.61 per kiloliter to Rs 98,557.14 per kiloliter.
Third Change – SBI Credit Card
The third big change from June 1 is for credit card users. The country's largest government bank SBI has implemented changes in the rules regarding credit cards. If you also have this credit card then this information is specific to you. The rule that has changed in SBI credit card from the first date is that for some SBI credit cards, reward points will not be applicable on government-related transactions. These include State Bank's Aurum, SBI Card Elite, SBI Card Elite Advantage and SBI Card Plus, SimplyClick SBI Card, SimplyClick Advantage SBI Card and SBI Card Prime.
Fourth Change: Driving License Test
The fourth major change from June 1 is related to your driving license. Actually, from today, driving tests can also be taken in private institutions (driving schools), till now these tests were conducted only in government centers run by RTO. Now people applying for license in private institutions will also have a driving test and they will be issued a license. However, keep in mind that this testing process will be conducted only in those private institutions which are recognized by the RTO. Along with this, if a minor below the age of 18 is caught driving, then not only will he be fined Rs 25,000, but he will also not be given a license for 25 years.
Fifth change: Aadhar card free update
However, the fifth change will come into effect from June 14. Actually, UIDAI had extended the deadline for free update of Aadhaar card till June 14 and it has been extended several times, so now there is less chance of it being extended. In such a situation, Aadhaar card holders have only a few days left to get it updated for free. After this, if you go to the Aadhaar center to get it updated, then you will have to pay a charge of Rs 50 per update.
