Golden opportunity to become a teacher in UP! Preparation for bumper recruitment on 23,899 posts including TGT, PGT, UPESSC receives requisition


A big and relief news has come out for lakhs of candidates who are dreaming of becoming government teachers in Uttar Pradesh. The process of filling the vacant posts in 4,512 aided secondary schools and their affiliated primary schools has been expedited. Directorate of Education has released the total number of vacancies on the e-requisition portal of Uttar Pradesh Education Service Selection Commission (UPESSC). 23,899 posts Requisition has been uploaded. After getting the green signal from the Education Department, the Commission is soon preparing to verify these vacancies and issue the advertisement.

Data upload on online portal: Emphasis on transparent process

After the new e-requisition portal of UPESSC was ready, all the concerned departments were instructed to send the details of vacancies online. After getting permission from the Director of Secondary Education, the Directorate has sent the final data of all the vacant posts to the Commission. Official notification will be issued after the Commission completes the scrutiny and subject-wise classification of these posts, so that complete transparency is maintained in the selection process.

Highlights of eligibility and selection process

  • TGT (Assistant Teacher): It is mandatory to have B.Ed along with graduation degree in the relevant subject.

  • PGT(Spokesperson): B.Ed qualification with Post Graduation (Master’s Degree) in relevant subject.

  • Basis of Selection: The merit list will be prepared on the basis of marks of written examination and interview (wherever applicable) to be conducted by the Selection Commission.
