“Godhbharai Program” for pregnant women was organized at 3372 Anganwadi centers in Katihar

Katihar, 08 July (HS). Under the “Sampoornata Abhiyan” run by NITI Aayog, “Godhbharai Program” for pregnant women was organized at 3372 Anganwadi centers in the district. The main objective of Godbharai is to make pregnant women aware of the need for better nutrition during pregnancy. Under this campaign, the district has to achieve 100% target in all the six indicators set by NITI Aayog within three months of July, August and September.

Under the above program, pregnant women and their families were made aware about care during pregnancy. Under the Block Aspirational Program, various activities are being organized by sector-wise women supervisors in Balrampur, Kursela and Manihari blocks by monitoring the Anganwadi centers on a daily basis.
