Devotees started reaching the Devi temples since morning to have darshan of the Mother Goddess. Crowds of devotees gathered in the morning and evening at the city's worshiped Mother Goddess Vindhyavasini Devi Temple (Bilai Mata) and other goddess temples. The Devi temple started glowing with the wish light late in the evening.
From Chaitra Navratri, a devotional atmosphere has started developing in the Devi temples located in rural areas including the city. Manokamana lamps have been lit for nine days in various temples of the city. On Tuesday, at the auspicious time, the pundits lit the lamps. This year on Chaitra Navratri, more than 1441 in Vindhyavasini temple, 2806 in Angarmoti temple, 149 of Danteshwari temple of oil and ghee in Risaipara, 120 in Shitala temple, 46 in Durga temple Pawar House, 140 in Kali temple Rudri Road, Risaimata temple, Dakbungla ward. Manokamana Jyot has been lit in other goddess temples including Kali Temple located at Hatkeshar, Kamna Temple at Hatkeshar, Shitala Temple at Danitola Ward, Vaishnav Temple at Shiv Chowk, Gayatri Temple, Kali Temple at Bus Stand, Ratneshwari Temple at Ratnabandha, Durga Temple at Bathena. .
Due to Chaitra Navratri, many various religious programs including Jasgeet, Devi Jagran have also started in the villages. Till the entire Chaitra Navratri, many programs will be organized in Mauli Mata Temple of Purur, Jagatara Samiti Durga Temple, Maa Kali Temple located at Kaneri including Amadi, Kukrel, Bhakhara, Koliyari, Bhatgaon, Soram, Navagaon, Loharsi. During Chaitra Navratri, fasting devotees worship the Goddess and eat fruits. In such a situation, the demand for fruits also increases. The prices of fruits have increased by 10 to 20 percent a day before Navratri.
