New Delhi. Goa Board has changed the dates of class 12th examinations. Class 12 examinations, which were scheduled to start from 1 February 2025, will now be conducted from 10 February. The board has taken this decision to avoid conflict with JEE Mains exam. Although the dates for JEE Mains January session have not been announced, the board has taken this decision based on the previous years' pattern. In fact, in some years, the first session of JEE Mains is being held in late January. This is likely to happen this year too. In view of this situation, many parents and schools had raised the issue that children will not get time to prepare. Keeping this in mind, the board has taken this decision.
The official notice issued by the board states, “The board has taken this decision due to the issue raised by many higher secondary schools and parents. The notice further said that, these issues were considered carefully and considering that JEE 2025 is expected to end by the end of January, which will not give students proper time to prepare for their board exams. Therefore, the rescheduled dates will ensure that JEE candidates have enough time to focus on both their entrance exams and board exams.”
The board has released an official notification in this regard on the official website. Candidates appearing in class 12th this year are advised to visit the portal to check this information.
