As soon as the information was received, Kathua police reached the spot and took the attacking doctor into custody. After this, on Friday, health workers kept emergency services closed and demanded strict action against the accused outside the emergency block of GMC. At present, the injured health worker Rahul has been shifted to a private hospital in Amritsar, Punjab for better treatment while the treatment of the other injured continues in GMC Kathua. The health workers sitting on strike said that the health workers are not safe in the GMC premises but no security of any kind has been given to them by the administration.
