Milk is very important for the development of small children. It contains many nutrients which are beneficial for the health of children. If children do not get proper nutrition, their development may be stunted. Doctors advise babies to drink only mother's milk from birth to 6 months. It has also been seen that many children survive only on milk for 2 to 3 years. Some of them are unable to develop and their body also starts becoming weak. Meanwhile, the question arises whether too much milk also has a bad effect on the health of children.

Why is it harmful to feed excess milk to children?

Pediatricians say that when children drink milk till their stomach is full, they do not eat food. Many times parents give milk to children in a glass, which fills their stomach and they refuse to eat. Parents should avoid doing this. By giving too much milk to children, they do not get the nutrients they get from other foods. Due to which their body does not develop properly. Therefore, children should always be encouraged to eat nutritious food. Milk should be reduced and food should be given more.

What harm does drinking too much milk cause to children?

1. The amount of iron in milk is low, if children consume it in excess and eat less, then their body starts deficient in blood and they may suffer from anemia.

2. Drinking too much milk can cause problems like constipation and diarrhea in children.

3. When children drink too much milk, they start refusing to eat other things. Due to which they are not able to get nutrients from food and its deficiency can cause many problems.

4. The amount of calcium in milk is very high but if too much calcium reaches the body then it can damage the bones.
