What not to do in case of heat stroke?
When someone feels faint, the body temperature suddenly increases. In such a situation, if the person becomes unconscious and is given water to drink, it can prove dangerous for him. Because drinking water causes the body temperature to drop suddenly. This can also lead to heart attack or cardiac arrest.
First aid for heatstroke
– If a person has fainted and become unconscious then do not panic and immediately take the person to a cool place. After that he loosened his clothes.
– Place a cloth wet with cold water on the person's head, hands and feet. And turn on the fan.
– Apply onion juice behind the ears and chest of the person. It reduces body temperature.
– Do not give water or any other liquid to an unconscious person. Call an ambulance immediately and admit the person to hospital.
What to do to avoid heatstroke?
The Health Ministry has advised people to avoid exposure to sunlight for 12 to 3 hours a day to maintain good health in this hot weather. Also wear loose and cotton clothes. Use an umbrella or a hat while leaving the house. Drink plenty of water or fluids throughout the day.
