Guwahati, May 13 (HS). Chief Minister Dr. Himanta Biswa Sarma has said that once Prime Minister Narendra Modi is given a chance, Punjab will become the number one state in the country. Dr Sarma was addressing party workers after participating in an election road show in Punjab on Monday. He asked the workers to go among all the people and say that neither Rahul Gandhi of Congress nor Bhagwant Mann of Aam Aadmi Party can give proper leadership to Punjab.
He said that the people of the North-East have overwhelmingly voted for Prime Minister Narendra Modi. At the same time, there is a lot of inclination of people towards BJP in the eastern states of the country. The Chief Minister said that this morning he paid obeisance at Patna Sahib Gurudwara. Talked to the people there. People want to see Prime Minister Narendra Modi as the Prime Minister of the country for the third time.
