How to identify real or edible ghee at home?
Although it is advisable to make ghee at home, but if you are unable to make ghee at home and are buying packaged or dairy ghee from the market, then identify whether it is genuine or adulterated.
How to check at home
You can easily identify ghee by testing water. For this, first of all you have to take hot water in a cup. – Now add one spoon of desi ghee in it and mix well. If the ghee floats to the top in the cup then it is real, but if it does not and settles then it is fake ghee. This should be avoided as it can prove harmful to health.
test it by putting it on your hand
You can test real and fake ghee by applying it on your palm. For this, first of all take half a spoon of ghee and place it on your palm and wait for about a minute. If the ghee placed on the palm starts melting then it is real, but if there is no change in it then it is fake.
identify by color
For this test, heat ghee in a vessel. – Before this, check the color of the ghee. If the color of ghee changes after heating, it will be adulterated. If the ghee is the same as before then it is eaten ghee.
