GGM Science College wins HIV/AIDS awareness marathon | News India

Jammu, September 18 (HS). GGM Science College performed remarkably in “The Red Run” marathon, a 5 km event organised by Jammu and Kashmir AIDS Control Society (JKACS) at Jammu University. Gaurav Sharma, a brilliant student of the college, displayed his athletic skills by securing fourth position and was awarded a consolation prize of Rs 1,000.

The marathon was aimed at raising awareness about HIV/AIDS and was enthusiastically participated by students from across the region. Eight dedicated students of GGM Science College participated under the guidance of Dr. Seema Rani Minhas, Nodal Officer of the Red Ribbon Club of the college, under the supervision of Principal Prof. (Dr.) Romesh Kumar Gupta.

The girls' team comprised Maithali, Ruby, Anjali Sharma and Simran, while the boys' team comprised Gaurav Sharma, Suraj Kumar, Ayub and Bilal Kohli. Their enthusiastic participation not only highlighted their commitment towards health awareness but also reflected the college's dedication towards community engagement. Principal Dr. Romesh Kumar Gupta felicitated the participants by distributing certificates, recognising their efforts and encouraging them to become ambassadors of progress and change.
