East Champaran, 30 September (Hindustan Reporter). General Manager of East Central Railway Hajipur, Chhatrasal Singh inspected the window training of Raxaul Junction. While going from Narkatiaganj to Samastipur via Sitamarhi, GM's special inspection vehicle reached Raxaul Junction on Monday evening while doing window trailing inspection.
Due to the arrival of GM, cleanliness and security arrangements were made at Raxaul station since morning. Senior officers of all divisions of the railway station remained ready at the station regarding the arrival of the GM. After reaching Raxaul from Narkatiaganj, GM Shri Singh did not get out of the special inspection train. After stopping for about two minutes at platform number 2 of Raxaul Junction, the GM Special Inspection train departed towards Sitamarhi.
Meanwhile, a written memorandum was submitted to the GM by Swachh Raxaul Organization President Ranjit Singh regarding various problems of Raxaul station. This mainly includes providing relief from water logging on platforms, allotment of vacant railway land to footpath vendors, provision of adequate number of toilets for passengers, establishment of cold mortuary for storing unclaimed dead bodies, and passenger facilities. Many points regarding this were included in the memorandum.
