DCP East Shravan Kumar said on Tuesday that according to Nirmana restaurant owner Anup Shukla, his car was poured petrol and set on fire late last Sunday night. It was fortunate that no major mishap occurred and the fire was brought under control in time. The incident of setting fire was captured in CCTV footage in which two people are setting fire. On this, the police team investigated and arrested two accused of setting the fire, Rohan Yadav and Deep Tanwania, and exposed the incident.
DCP Shravan Kumar said that the most important thing in the case is that Anup Shukla's son Vaibhav Shukla lived in Indore. Vaibhav Shukla had a love affair with a young man named Deep while living in Indore and both of them had also promised to marry each other. Deep had also changed his gender to female, but later due to differences between the two, Vaibhav came to Kanpur and refused to marry. Frustrated with the refusal to marry and having undergone gender change, Deep came to Kanpur with his partner Rohan and took a scooter on rent online. He went straight to Vaibhav Shukla's house with petrol, poured petrol on the car parked below the house and set it on fire. Deep's intention was that when he set the car on fire, the entire house would be engulfed in flames, but this could not happen and as soon as the fire broke out, the people nearby controlled it. Here, on information, police reached the spot and collected information with the help of CCTV cameras. When the matter came to light in Indore, the police checked the passengers of all the buses coming from Indore with the help of CCTV cameras. Then it was found out that Deep had come to Kanpur with one of his friends and had gone to Chakeri police station and demanded action, but since the case was registered in Indore, the police expressed its inability. On this, Deep became enraged with revenge and prepared to carry out the incident himself.
DCP says that Deep was trying to escape to Indore with his partner when the police arrested him. The most interesting aspect of this case is that when Deep, who was presented during the press conference, wanted to express his views, the police forcibly confined him in the room of the women's help desk. On the other hand, Deep says that we both had sworn to live and die with each other and now the entire blame is being put on me, while Vaibhav is absconding. Police should arrest him and take action against him also.
