GDC Thathri organized a seminar on drug abuse

Jammu, June 27 (HS). Sahitya Samiti GDC Thathri organized a seminar cum awareness program on the topic of drug abuse and illegal trafficking. The entire program was organized under the guidance of the college principal Dr. Javid Iqbal. In his address, the principal highlighted the immense importance of spreading awareness among the people, especially the youth, against various forms of drug abuse and illegal trafficking.

He also encouraged the students to create awareness among people by giving information about various rehabilitation centers to deal with these drug addictions. Professor Sudesh Kumar, Head of the Department of Political Science from GDC Doda was also invited for the guest lecture. Professor Kumar explained in detail about the consequences of this evil of drug addiction and gave some examples from daily life affected due to drug addiction.
