GDC Hiranagar organised Impact Lecture on Innovation Entrepreneurship Start-up IPR

Kathua, May 27 (HS). Institutional Innovation Council of Government Degree College Hira Nagar organized Impact Lecture on Innovation Entrepreneurship Start-up IPR sponsored by Innovation Cell Ministry of Education Government of India.

The program started with the traditional lamp lighting followed by Saraswati Vandana. The resource persons for the program were Prof. Dr. Ashutosh Vashisht President (IIC) & CEO, TBIC, SMVDU, School of Business, Faculty of Management, Shri Mata Vaishno Devi University Katra and Dr. Yathesht Anand Coordinator IMPV and Head of School of Mechanical Engineering SMVDU. In her inaugural address, Dr. Pragya Khanna, Principal of the college welcomed the resource persons and highlighted the importance of start-ups and entrepreneurship in the current scenario. She also apprised the students about the various schemes and initiatives taken by the Government of India in these fields. Prof. Dr. Ashutosh Vashisht of Shri Mata Vaishno Devi University Katra in his invited address shared his views about entrepreneurship as a carrier opportunity, objectives of IIC, various schemes launched by the Government of India under Indian start-up scenario. Dr. Yathesht Anand also educated the audience about IPR (Intellectual Property Rights). He gave detailed notes on patents, designs, copy rights, trademarks etc. In his lecture, he motivated the students to choose the path of start-up, entrepreneurship so that they will be able to get employment in future.

Students of various semesters also participated enthusiastically in the programme. In the interactive session, both the resource persons also resolved various doubts and questions raised by the students and faculty members. Certificates were also distributed among the students by the guests. The proceedings of the programme were conducted by Dr. Rajni Bala and Professor Shapiya Shamim. Faculty members of various departments were also present on the occasion. In the end, Professor Rakesh Sharma presented the vote of thanks.
