Gaza's biggest hospital attacked on suspicion of presence of Hamas terrorists

Jerusalem, 15 February (Hindustan Times). Israel on Thursday raided Gaza's largest Nasser hospital in search of Hamas terrorists. Israeli forces claimed that this action was taken after receiving concrete information about Hamas terrorists taking shelter in this hospital in Khan Younis. There is also a possibility of hiding the hostages and their bodies here.

In a video posted on the internet, the sound of firing can be heard and a cloud of dust and smoke was seen rising in the pitch darkness. Nasser Hospital in Khan Yunis city has been largely cut off due to weeks of fighting. Israeli military spokesman Rear Admiral Daniel Hamari said about the raid on Nasser Hospital that it was accurate and limited based on solid information. Israel has accused Hamas of using hospitals and other civilian structures to protect its fighters.

At the same time, a Hamas spokesperson called Israel's claim a lie and said, Israel forcefully expelled about 2,000 people from the families of the medical staff taking shelter in the hospital. Some of these were forced to move to Deir al-Balah in central Gaza. Thousands of displaced Palestinians began fleeing on Wednesday after Israel said it had opened a corridor for them to flee.

According to Gaza's Health Ministry, 28,663 people have lost their lives in the Israeli attack on Gaza that has been going on since October 7. Most of these are civilians. The UN office said Israel surrounded Nasser Hospital and forced thousands of people to be displaced. Let it be known that many people are taking shelter in hospitals to escape the fierce shelling near the apartments in Rafah.

Hospital surgeon Dr Khalid Alser said that one patient died and seven were injured in the fire in the hospital. At the same time, the head of the UN aid agency has expressed concern about the fierce shelling started by Israel in Rafah.

The death toll of civilians from two Israeli air strikes in Lebanon rose to 10 on Thursday. It is being described as the deadliest in the series of attacks on the border that took place on Wednesday night. Lebanese militant group Hezbollah has vowed to retaliate against Israel which is responsible for the attacks. It is said that Israel will have to pay a heavy price for this.

Israeli forces launched attacks on the city of Nabatiyeh and a village in southern Lebanon, just hours after an Israeli soldier was killed by a Lebanese projectile.
