India vs Australia Virat Kohli: The 5 test match series between India and Australia is starting from 22nd November. The first match will be in Perth. Now before the series, the war of words continues between the two countries. Legends like Ricky Ponting, Justin Langer, Brett Lee and Mitchell Johnson are continuously attacking Team India. Now former Indian captain Sunil Gavaskar has counted. He has warned the Australian team before the Test series.

Gavaskar has talked about Virat Kohli’s previous consistent good performances on the grounds of Adelaide and Perth. That said, their previous success against Australia at these venues will give them added confidence during the upcoming Border-Gavaskar Trophy series. Gavaskar believes that if Kohli scores runs in the first two Test matches of the series, then he can prove to be very dangerous in the next matches.

Kohli will be hungry for runs…

Gavaskar told Star Sports, ‘Virat could not score runs against New Zealand, so he will be hungry for runs.’ Even in the Adelaide Test where we were bowled out for 36 in the second innings, Kohli scored more than 70 runs in the first innings before being run out. He has consistently performed well in Adelaide, so this is a familiar ground for him.

he will score big

Gavaskar further said that Adelaide is in first place and Perth is in first place. Where he scored a brilliant Test century in 2018-19. He will feel more confident after performing on this ground. They need a little luck in the beginning, but if they get a good start they will score big.

Kohli has already scored a century at Optus Stadium

Kohli’s average in six Test matches this year has been only 22.72. This is significantly lower than his average of 54.08 in Tests in Australia and his overall career average of 47.83. Kohli scored his first Test century (116) in Adelaide in January 2012. Then in 2014 he scored 115 and 141 runs on the same ground. In this match, he captained India in Test for the first time. The former captain had also scored 123 runs at Optus Stadium in Perth in 2018. This was the first century by an Indian batsman in the new Perth Stadium. He led India to a 2-1 victory in the Test series. Team India was successful in winning the Test series there for the first time.
