IND vs SL 3rd T20I: Coach Gautam Gambhir's era has started off on a great note. India has won the T20 series against Sri Lanka 3-0. India won the third T20 match in the Super Over. This was the first series played by the Indian team under Gambhir's coaching. Coach Gambhir's impeccable performance in the very first series has forced world cricket to think. Especially in the third T20, the Indian team surprised world cricket by winning the first match and equalized.
At one time the Indian team was close to losing the match but the bowling of Rinku Singh and captain Suryakumar made a good difference in the match. Both these players bowled in the match and tied the match for India. The bowling of both of them turned the tables of the match. After this, in the super over, Washington Sundar gave only one run and made India win the match.

It is an example of Gambhir's aggressive strategy that Rinku Singh bowled at crucial times and Suryakumar Yadav bowled in the last over. The bowling of these two stunned the Sri Lankan batsmen. In the match which started one hour late due to rain, the Sri Lankan team registered an easy win by making a partnership of 58 runs for the first wicket with Kusal Mendis (43) and 52 runs for the second wicket with Kusal Perera (46). The score was moving up to 110 runs in the 16th over but the bowlers turned the tables.
Sri Lanka needed 30 runs to win in the last five overs. In the 19th over, Rinku Singh caught Perera on his own ball. Later, he made the match exciting by dismissing Ramesh Mendis (03). Perera hit five fours in 34 balls.
6 runs were needed in the last over, Captain Surya bowled
Sri Lanka needed six runs in the last over. Captain Suryakumar Yadav himself came to bowl. He got his first wicket in T20 International by getting Kamindu Mendis (01) caught by Rinku on the second ball. Teekshana (00) also got caught by Samson on the next ball. Fernando scored one run on the fourth ball. Now five runs were needed on the last two balls. Vikram Singh scored two runs on both the balls and tied the match.
A shocking start to the Gambhir era
As soon as Gambhir became the coach, aggressive decisions started being made in Indian cricket. First Surya was made the T20 captain. Then Shubhman Gill was made the vice-captain of ODI and T20. Senior players like Kohli and Rohit were called to play in the ODI series. After this, Surya and Rinku bowled in the last match of the T20 series and announced the Gambhir era. Now world cricket is also shocked by the arrival of a Gambhir era.
