Gangster Act accused sentenced to three and a half years imprisonment, fine of Rs 5,000

Moradabad, 23 October (Hindustan Reporter). The court of Additional District and Sessions Judge Siyaram Chaurasia on Wednesday convicted the accused under the Gangster Act and sentenced him to three and a half years of imprisonment. Also imposed a fine of Rs 5 thousand.

Umesh Kumar Singh, the then in-charge of Hayat Nagar police station, had filed a case of Gangster Act against Bhura, a resident of Bulandshahr, on December 11, 2003. On which the allegation was that the accused obtained material and financial benefits illegally by forming his own gang. The chargesheet against accused Bhura was presented in the court on 15 May 2004. After which the case was heard in the court of Additional District and Sessions Judge Siyaram Chaurasia.
