Prayagraj, 09 December (HS). Mahakumbh is a great festival of Indian culture. This event, which contains a sense of sociality along with spirituality, appears in various forms, the basis of which is the Vedas. The words of these Vedas will echo in Prayagraj Mahakumbh also. Various camps of saints in the Mahakumbh area will witness this.
The words of the Vedas will echo in the Maha Kumbh. Grand camps of saints and Akharas have started taking shape in the Maha Kumbh area. On one hand, the fair administration is engaged in giving a systematic form to these camps, while on the other hand the saints are busy weaving their camps into the fabric of Vedic culture. In the camps of Dharmacharyas and Mahamandaleshwars of Akharas, efforts are being made to flow the Ganga of Veda mantras along with the triveni of Katha, Bhagwat and discourse regularly.
Advance arrangements are being made for Veda recitation for Batukas studying in Veda schools. Braj Mohan Pandey, Principal of Swami Narottamanand Giri Ved Vidyalaya, Jhunsi, says that this event will provide an opportunity to propagate the Vedic culture of India and understand the new generation.
There is maximum demand in the Akharas and camps of Mahamandaleshwars. In the Akharas of Mahakumbh, devotees and tourists generally get to see various activities of Sadhak and Sadhana. But this time the hymns of the Vedas will also resonate here. Mahamandaleshwar Someshwaranand Brahmachari of Shri Panch Agni Akhara says that in order to expand the Vedic culture, the Batukas who recite Vedas in the Akharas will be invited to recite the Vedas.
In the camp of Mahamandaleshwars, discourses of story tellers and bhajan kirtans continue in which this time the words of Vedas will also get an important place. Mahamandaleshwar Swami Pranavanand Saraswati of Panchayati Akhara Maha Nirvani tells that 8 Brahmins will chant five lakh Panchamakshar daily in his camp. Recitation of hymns from Vedas will also take place in the camp.
The demand for batukas has also increased in the surrounding districts. More than 20 thousand batukas will be required to study Vedas in the Mahakumbh area. Talking about government Veda schools in Prayagraj district, there will be five Veda schools under the Pathshala scheme and three Veda schools as Guru Shishya units. All these Veda schools are run by Maharishi Sandipani National Veda Sanskrit Education Board. Hari Om Dwivedi, Principal of Shri Bharti Teerth Vedshala located at Alopi Bagh, says that the students of Ved Vidyalaya have to take permission from the board for reciting Vedas in the Mahakumbh area. Once permission is granted, they will be given this responsibility.
