Latehar, 14 October (HIST). An incident of gang rape with a tribal minor girl took place in Mahuadand police station area of the district. The incident is said to have happened on Sunday. The police took immediate action and took all three accused into custody on Monday.
In this regard, DSP Shivpujan Bahelia said that a minor girl resident of Mahuadand police station area had come to the market. Meanwhile, while returning home, three boys gang-raped her and threatened the victim and ran away from there. On reaching home, the victim informed her family about the matter. After this the family reached the police station on Monday and complained about the matter.
After receiving the complaint about the incident, the police took immediate action and conducted a raid and detained all the accused involved in the incident within two hours. He said that the accused boys are also said to be below 18 years of age. His real age is being investigated. The DSP said that the spot described by the victim was also inspected. The police is sending the victim girl to Latehar Sadar Hospital for medical examination.
