Auraiya, September 17 (HS). On Tuesday, a wave of faith swelled on the streets of the district. Groups of devotees came out dancing and throwing gulal along with bhajans and kirtans. They immersed Ganpati in the canal located at Pata.
Before the immersion of the Ganesh idol installed at the residence of the city's prominent businessman Harishchandra Sunar in the Mohalla Homeganj market of Phaphund city, Maha Aarti was performed and prasad of 56 bhogs was distributed. After which the Ganesh idol was taken around the main roads of the city on a tractor and to the tune of DJ, women, children, youth were moving forward applying abir gulal to each other and dancing on devotional songs. The Ganesh idol was immersed in the canal located on Ramgarh Road 10 km from the city and the devotees were cheering. During this, a large number of women, children and youth including the patron of Ganesh Seva Samiti Harischandra Verma, Bharat Lal Swarnkar, Ram Ji Soni, Anupam Kumar Verma, Ashish Porwal, Birendra Singh Soni, Umesh Chandra Awasthi, Hariom Tiwari, Anand Kumar Gupta, Vinod Dubey, Naveen Tiwari, Pradeep Verma, Shyamji Verma, Mukesh Verma, Ashish Dubey, Abhishek Gupta, Shyamu Gupta were present.
