Ganesh Chaturthi 2024: The festive season of Ganesh Chaturthi has started from today. People are immersed in the devotion of their father. Ganesh Chaturthi is celebrated on the Chaturthi Tithi of Shukla Paksha of Bhadrava month.

The ten-day Ganeshotsav begins from this day. During Ganeshotsav, devotees install the idol of Lord Ganesha in every house and worship Lord Ganesha with rituals for ten days.

This year Ganesh Chaturthi Vrat is being celebrated on 7th September and Bappa will be present on this day. It is believed that Lord Ganesha was born on the Chaturthi Tithi of Shukla Paksha of Bhadrava month and Ganeshotsav is celebrated on this occasion.

Cleaning the house – Before Ganesh Chaturthi, the house should be cleaned thoroughly and preparations should be made for the installation of Ganpati.

Preparations should be made for the arrival of God by putting up a Toran at the entrance of the house and decorating it with flowers and leaves. Make a Swastika with Kanku at the place of installation and make four Chandals with turmeric.

Place rice grains on it and keep a stool for the Lord to sit on. Spread a new red, yellow or orange cloth over the stool. Keep the thali decorated and ready for puja and aarti.

Preparation to bring the idol from the market – To bring the idol of Ganpati from the market, first take a bath and wear new clothes and wear a turban or cap on your head.

To bring the idol, take a brass or copper plate, bell and cymbals. Place the idol on a plate and bring it while ringing the bell and cymbals.

Welcome Baba at home like this – Perform Aarti of the idol at the entrance of the house. While praising Bappa with auspicious mantras and chants, bring the idol into the house and install it on the pedestal. After this, perform the Puja and Aarti as per the rituals.

It is believed that by observing Mangal Vrat of Bappa as per the rituals, all the problems of life are removed and happiness and prosperity increases.
