Gandey's victory will be Guruji, Hemant and your victory: Kalpana Soren

Giridih, 9 April (HS). Kalpana Soren Murmu, wife of former Chief Minister Hemant Soren and candidate for Gandey Assembly by-election, said that you should never think that I am contesting the elections. This election is of your Dishom Guruji Baba Shibu Soren and your leader Hemant Soren. Hemant Soren should not feel that even though he is in jail, his workers are sleeping. They should feel that each of their workers is Hemant and is in the field, struggling. You should know that this will not be our victory, it will be your victory. Kalpana Soren was speaking in the worker dialogue program organized on Tuesday at Utsav Upvan Resort Auditorium located at the district headquarters.

Kalpana Soren said that people of BJP are home breakers. Want to fight brother against brother, family against family. I will not come here and talk about myself. I want to listen to your thoughts and suggestions. Kalpana Soren said that this is the workplace of Baba Dishom Guru. Baba was and will remain the king here. Don't let anyone interfere in their work place. That's why I have also started my political journey from Baba's workplace. Those who are associated with Baba's time, should share their experiences, work as per their own. There is no need to tell them anything, at the time when Baba was struggling, there were neither resources nor much media. But today the situation has changed. There is facility to travel today. But at the time when the uprising took place, resources were negligible. We have to ensure that this work place of Baba is preserved. By-elections are to be held on Koderma Lok Sabha seat as well as Gandey Assembly seat on 20th May. The seat has become vacant due to the resignation of JMM MLA Dr. Sarfaraz Ahmed in January this year. Presently Dr. Ahmed is now a Rajya Sabha MP. BJP has made Dilip Verma the candidate for Gandey by-election. Gandey seat, which is known as the safest seat for JMM, has been won by JMM five times, BJP thrice and Congress twice in the elections held since 1977. It is believed that this seat has become hot due to the contesting of former Chief Minister Hemant Soren's wife Kalpana Soren, who was contesting the elections while he was in jail.
