CBSE Board Exam Updates Twice a Year: CBSE Board Exam 2024 is currently starting. CBSE board exams for both classes i.e. 10th and 12th are starting from 15th February. CBSE 10th exam will continue till 13th March and CBSE 12th exam will continue till 2nd April. A big news has come out amid CBSE board examinations. That means from now on CBSE board examinations will be conducted twice a year. From the next session, CBSE 10th and 12th board exams will be conducted twice a year. However, CBSE Board has not given any update in this regard. Recently, Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan had announced during a program in Chhattisgarh that from next year, board examinations will be conducted twice a year. Dharmendra Pradhan said, from the academic session 2025-26, students will get a chance to appear in the board exams twice a year. After appearing in both 10th and 12th examinations, you have to keep the best marks obtained with you.
Last year, the Central Government has announced many changes in the education system in accordance with the new National Education Policy (NEP 2020). This includes developing textbooks and introducing new curriculum framework for the academic session in 2024. This new curriculum framework also includes conducting board examinations twice a year. Out of the two exams, whichever board exam the student has the best marks in, he can use that mark in further studies.
Board examinations were announced by the Central Government twice a year in the month of August, although the government did not clarify from which session and from which year this rule of the National Education Policy will be implemented. But from the recent announcement of the Union Education Minister, it has become clear that this rule of board examination twice a year will be applicable from the next academic session 2025-26. Since CBSE board comes under the central government, this rule of board exams twice a year will also be applicable to CBSE board.
