Changes in rules from August 1: With the end of the month of July, the month of August starting two days later will bring many changes in daily life. From August 1, cooking at home will affect the pocket. This includes everything from the prices of LPG cylinders to changes in credit card rules.
First change: LPG prices
Oil marketing companies change the price of LPG cylinders on the first of every month. However, there has been no change in the price of gas cylinders in Gujarat including Ahmedabad so far, indicating that the prices will remain unchanged. Last month, there were changes in the price of 19 kg commercial gas cylinders across the country. The price of commercial PLG cylinder in New Delhi was reduced by Rs. 30. This time people are expecting relief in the prices of domestic cylinders.
Another change: ATF and CNG-PNG rates
Like LPG cylinders, the prices of petrol-diesel and air turbine fuel also change every month. New prices will be introduced on August 1, 2024. ATF prices fell in April
Third Change: HDFC Bank Credit Card
From August 1, there will be a change for users using credit cards of top private sector bank HDFC. Payments can be made using HDFC Bank credit cards through third party apps Paytm, Cred, Mobiquik, Freecharge and others, but a transaction fee of 1 percent will be levied. A limit of Rs. 3000 has been set per transaction. There is no charge on fuel transactions less than Rs. 15000. However, a 1 percent charge will be levied on transactions above Rs. 15000.
Change 4: Charge on Google Maps
Google Maps is also going to change its rules in India from August 1, 2024. Which will be applicable across the country. The world's largest search engine has announced a 70 percent cut in fees for India on its Google Maps service. Apart from this, Google will now accept payments in Indian rupees instead of dollars for its map service.
Fifth change: 13 days bank holiday
If you have any bank related work in the month of August, then before leaving home, check the bank holiday list published by the Reserve Bank. According to the August bank holiday list, banks will remain closed for 13 days in August. This includes public holidays for various festivals like Rakshabandhan, Janmashtami and Independence Day. This holiday includes the second and fourth Saturdays as well as the official holiday on Sunday.
