Jaipur, July 8 (HS). Jaipur. Murlipura police station has arrested a friend of Rohit Rathod, the shooter who killed National Rajput Karni Sena president Sukhdev Singh Gogamedi. The accused was absconding for the last four years in the murder case. He had absconded after digging a pit in a deserted place and burying the body. There was also a reward of fifty thousand on the accused. At present, the police is busy interrogating the accused.
Deputy Commissioner of Police, Jaipur (West), Amit Kumar said that the Murlipura police station has arrested Shiv Singh alias Lucky Banna (25), resident of Ras Pali, accused in the murder case of Rashtriya Rajput Karni Sena president Sukhdev Singh Gogamedi. The police received information about the arrival of the murderer Shiv Singh in the Murlipura area. On this, the police team raided the Murlipura area and caught the criminal Shiv Singh alias Lucky Banna.
During police interrogation it has come to light that shooter Rohit Rathod, who killed Sukhdev Singh Gogamedi, is his best friend. He has not visited his home for four years. While absconding for the last four years, he used to talk to his family members through WhatsApp calls. He would also ask for money for essential items and food. In order to escape from the police, he kept changing his hideouts and appearance. By changing hideouts, he would do whatever work he got for a few days and then leave the place. He mostly spent his abscondence by staying at the houses of relatives and acquaintances. The police is investigating whether accused Shiv Singh was in contact with shooter Rohit Rathod during his abscondence.
In July 2021, Shashi Kumar Agarwal (43), a resident of Mansa Nagar Sirsi Mod, was murdered. His body was buried by digging a pit in a deserted forest.
Actually, on the night of 27 July 2021, Shashi Agarwal had a fight with his nephew Raj Agarwal. The reason behind the fight was that uncle Shashi Agarwal had made a tattoo of nephew Raj's mother's name on his hand. In anger, Raj Agarwal hit uncle Shashi Agarwal on the head with an iron rod and left him bleeding. Then he tied a bag on his mouth and strangled him with wire and killed him. Raj Agarwal called his friend Prakash Agarwal, Shiv Singh alias Lucky Banna and a minor friend to dispose of the body. The four planned and rented a Swift Dzire from Krishna Drive Car Private Limited located in Vaishali Nagar Amrapali. After putting the dead body in the car and roaming around to dispose of it, they reached a deserted forest near Anand Vihar JDA Colony ahead of village Naiwal. They took the body to a mound of soil in the forest and buried it. Seeing this, a villager told in the village. The villagers who reached the spot caught the accused Raj Agarwal (20) resident of Mansa Nagar Sirsi Mod Bhankrota, Prakash Agarwal (21) resident of Jaswant Nagar Khatipura Vaishali Nagar and the third minor accomplice. The fourth accomplice Shiv Singh managed to escape from the spot. The villagers handed over the three captured murderers to Bhankrota police.
