Free UPSC Coaching: Opportunity for free UPSC coaching, know how to avail the benefits of the scheme

Free UPSC Coaching: UPSC Civil Services Examination is one of the most prestigious and difficult examinations in the country. Every year lakhs of candidates apply for this exam and many candidates prepare for this exam (UPSC Civil Services Exam) every year. A lot of money is spent over time in its preparation, but by saving that money you can prepare for UPSC for free. Odisha government is giving an opportunity to the candidates for free UPSC preparation.

Odisha Department of Higher Education (ODHE) has released the notice for free UPSC Civil Services coaching. In the official notice released, ODHE has given important details like eligibility criteria, age limit, educational qualification, examination center and selection process of the candidates eligible for the scheme. The coaching period will be tentatively for the calendar months between June 2024 to April 2025.

How to get free UPSC coaching facility?

To avail free UPSC coaching, eligible candidates will have to visit the official website of the department, dheodish.gov.in or samsodish.gov.in and fill the Common Application Form (CAF). The last date for online application is 02 April 2024. Applicants will be selected through the entrance examination, which will be held on 05 May 2024.

This facility will be available with free coaching

According to the notice, a total of 200 candidates will be selected after qualifying for the pre-qualifying entrance examination to be conducted by the State Selection Board, Higher Education Department on May 5, 2024. Moreover, there are 33 percent seats in each category. Will be reserved for female candidates. Candidates who qualify the entrance examination will be provided free coaching, food and hostel facilities in Bhubaneswar during the coaching programme. Since this is completely a residential coaching scheme, day scholars will not be allowed. The syllabus of the entrance examination will be based on UPSC Civil Services Examination only.

Who can take the entrance exam?

The candidate must be at least a graduate from a recognized university or college by 01 February 2024. Must be a permanent resident of Odisha and have domicile certificate. Whereas on February 1, 2024, the age of the candidate should be 21 years and should not be more than 30 years. However, reserved category candidates will be given relaxation in maximum age.

These candidates cannot apply

Candidates must ensure minimum 90% attendance every month. Those who have already availed and selected coaching under the scheme for 2023-24 are not eligible to apply.
