Free operation of children suffering from congenital heart disease will be done at Sri Sathya Sai Heart Hospital in Gujarat

Bikaner, 27 July (HS). Children suffering from congenital heart disease identified under the National Child Health Program will be operated free of cost in the heart disease operation camp organized at Shri Satya Sai Heart Hospital in Gujarat. 11 children have been sent from Bikaner for the final screening of all the children in Jaipur before the operation.

Chief Medical and Health Officer Dr. Rajesh Kumar Gupta said that like every year, a state level camp will be organized for examination and screening under the joint aegis of the Health Department of Rajasthan Government and Shri Satya Sai Trust Gujarat. After screening, the child who needs surgery will be given the date of surgery and the children will be operated free of cost within the stipulated time frame.

District Reproductive and Child Health Officer Dr Mukesh Janagal flagged off the vehicles from the Health Bhawan and reviewed the arrangements for breakfast and food for all the children and their families going to the camp. He informed that congenital heart diseases like hole in the heart, CABD, PDA, VSD MVR, ASD will be treated through free surgery in the camp. Additional District Nodal Officer Yogesh Kumar Panwar informed that last year free operation was done on 16 children and this time too he prepared a line list of all the sick children and sent it to the state level and got the children registered in the camp.
