Ludhiana: A woman travel agent from Ludhiana has cheated a young man in the name of sending him abroad. Rupinder Singh, a resident of Javdi, has complained about this matter to the senior police officials. Khurd said that he had to go abroad in the beginning of the year 2023. To go to England, he contacted Nidhi Damani, a resident of Model Village. The woman agreed to send Rupinder Singh to England and took 1 lakh 75 thousand rupees. Despite this, the woman neither applied for the visa of the young man nor returned the money to him. In this regard, Rupinder Singh complained to the senior police officials on 18 May 2023.
After 16 months of investigation, the complaint was lodged with higher officials. In this case, ASI Gurmej Lal, the investigating officer of Police Station Division Number, said that the police have registered a case against Nidhi Damani on the complaint of Rupinder Singh. The police will soon arrest the woman in this case.
