Kaithal, 7th December (Hindustan Reporter) On Saturday, the police arrested the person who cheated Rs 19 lakh in the name of sending it to Portugal. While investigating the fraud case, the accused Ashu alias Ajay, resident of Narwalgarh, was arrested by the team of ASI Rampal of Economic Cell.
Police spokesperson said that according to the complaint of Manjindra, resident of village Khedi Ghulam Ali, he wanted to send his brother Gurvindra Singh to Portugal. For this he talked to agent Ajay, resident of Narwalgarh. The accused talked about sending his brother to Portugal and took Rs 19 lakh from him on October 5, 2023.
After taking the money and documents, the accused sent his brother to Dubai on a fake visa and now Gurvindra is living in Dubai. Now when he asked accused Ajay to send his brother to Portugal soon, he threatened that if he harassed her too much, he would get Gurvindra killed in Dubai itself. Regarding which a case was registered in Siwan police station. Rs 10 lakh have been recovered from the possession of the accused. The accused was sent to judicial custody on Saturday as per the court order.
