Mainpuri, 20 April (HS). A truck collided with a tractor-trolley near Dwarikapuri Cut on National Highway-34 in Bhogaon police station area of the district. Four women died and 24 people were injured in the accident. The police have admitted the injured to the hospital.
Superintendent of Police Vinod Kumar said that those who died in the accident have been identified as Awadhesh's wife Phoolmati, Dafedar's wife Ramakanti and Rajesh's wife Sanjay Devi. These women died on the spot. Meanwhile, Draupadi Devi died during treatment in the hospital. Twenty-four people are injured and admitted to hospital.
SP said that the daughter of Virendra Singh, resident of Kunwarpur village of Kannauj, got married in Beldhara village of Bichhwa police station area. The naming ceremony of the son born to the daughter was held on Friday. To participate in this, Virendra along with his family and relatives had gone to Beldhara in a tractor trolley. While returning home on Saturday morning, the tractor's light broke near Dwarkapur in Bhogaon area. To fix the light, the driver parked the tractor on the roadside. Meanwhile, the truck hit the tractor trolley. Four women died and 24 people were injured in this accident.
