Four roads of Ghazipur district will be widened, 140 villages will get relief

UP Four Roads Widened : Four major roads will be widened in Ghazipur district of Uttar Pradesh, which will bring about 140 villages The population will benefit from better connectivity. Due to the widening of these roads Azamgarh, MauAnd Jaunpur Traveling will also become much easier. The total cost of this project is approximately Rs 66 crore and its work is expected to start in January.

The proposal for this project was sent in September, which has now been approved. Now only waiting for the release of funds.

1. Manihari-Jakhaniya Road: Widening at a cost of Rs 31 crore

• Length: close to 14 km,
• Benefit:
  • This route connects Azamgarh, Mau, Shadiabad, Nandganj, and Bahariabad.
  • due to widening of the road 40-45 villages 1-1.5 lakh people will benefit.
• present situation:
  • Dust is flying on the damaged parts of the road.
  • After widening, travel will become easier and faster.

2. Bihariganj-Maudha road: Improvement at a cost of Rs 10 crore

• Length: About 7 km,
• Benefit:
  • due to the widening of this road 500 villages People will be benefited.
  • This route will become a medium for easy travel between the villages of Azamgarh and Jaunpur.

3. Suhawal-Dhadhani to Tajpur Kurra road: Widening at a cost of Rs 18 crore.

• Length: About 14 km,
• Benefit:
  • Widening of this route will make travel easier and safer.
  • Better connectivity will be ensured for the people of the villages of the area.

4. Jangipur-Aripur road: Rs 24 crore project

• to widen this route Rs 24 crore Will cost Rs.
• This route will further strengthen regional connectivity.

Current status of the project

• PWD Xen BL Gautam Has informed that the proposal for widening of all four roads has been approved by the government.
• Work starts from January 2024:
  • After the release of funds, the repair and widening work will be started in January.
