Jhansi, September 12 (HS). Four members of the same family fell into a pit while trying to prevent rainwater from filling it in a sentry camp located in Chirgaon police station area of the district. All of them fainted due to not being able to breathe properly due to the depth of the pit. On receiving information about this, villagers and police reached the spot. Police rescued three people alive from the pit with the help of villagers, while one died.
It has been raining continuously for two days in the district. On Thursday morning, Chirgaon police received information that four people in the Santri Dera area fell into a pit while trying to stop rainwater from entering it. Due to which they fell unconscious due to the poisonous gas coming inside the pit. On receiving this information, Chirgaon police station in-charge inspector Tulsiram Pandey along with the police force reached the spot and with the help of the villagers, everyone was taken out by tying them with a rope. In which Ankush died. While Parshuram, Manoj and another unconscious were admitted to the community center for treatment. All four people are said to be from the same family.
