Patna, September 10 (HS). Four girls died on Tuesday due to drowning in a pond in Behrar village of Anandpur police station area of Chandan in Banka district of Bihar. The four girls had gone to the pond to take a bath on the occasion of Karma-Dharma festival. Then one after the other, all four of them went into the deep water. After the accident, there is an atmosphere of mourning in the entire village along with the family members.
It is being told that five girls of the village went to the pond to take bath on Tuesday morning. During this time, one girl went into the deep water of the pond. While trying to save each other, all four girls died by drowning. After a lot of effort, the villagers took out the bodies of the four girls from the water. The deceased girls are Poonam Kumar, 14-year-old daughter of Shankar Yadav, resident of Behrar village, Nisha Kumar, 12-year-old daughter of Sanjay Yadav, Pushpa Kumari, 15-year-old daughter of Vinod Yadav and Jyoti Kumari, 14-year-old daughter of Bajrangi Yadav.
After receiving information about the incident, the police reached the spot, sent the bodies of the four girls for post-mortem and started investigation.
