Four-day women safety public awareness program Abhivyakti concludes

Dhamtari, March 11 (HS). A four-day women safety public awareness program Abhivyakti and Nari Samman was organized from March 8 to March 11. The valedictory function took place on March 11 at Police Training Center Dhamtari. On this occasion, women also took out a bike rally.

In the programme, talented women in various fields, officials of women's social service organizations and women police officers and their motherly powers who inspire them to discharge their duties properly and their relatives were honoured.

The police department has visited Azim Premji Foundation Shankardah Dhamtari, Pratham Arora Training Center Kurud, village Arsikanhar of police station Mechka, village Kumhada of police station Keregaon and Florence Nursing College in Limtara, Saraswati Shishu Mandir Rudri of police station Rudri, village Khuravad under Sihawa and village Sihawa. Panchayat Banagar, Thana Bhakhara conducted awareness program by visiting Government School Deori and many other Naxal affected villages. Rangoli, painting and poetry recitation competitions were also organized during the programme. Apart from this, by going to the Gram Panchayat in all the police station areas and setting up mobile police stations, they were given detailed information regarding crimes against women, rights and protection provided in the POCSO Act and the law related to women and children. Bike and scooter public awareness rally was taken out.

During the conclusion of the program, girls and women from Rotary Club, Youth Hostel, Kriti Fine Arts, Exact Foundation, Saraswati Shishu Mandir Rudri and other institutions and schools were honored with gifts and citations. Collector Namrata Gandhi, Superintendent of Police Anjaneya Varshney and CEO District Panchayat Roma Srivastava also answered the questions asked by women and children. On this occasion, painting, rangoli and poetry competitions were organised, in which school girls participated enthusiastically. Swachhta Didis were honored by the police department for promoting women empowerment.
