Four civilians killed, five terrorists killed in IED blast on the eve of Eid-ul-Azha in Pakistan


Islamabad, June 17 (HS). Four civilians were killed in an improvised explosive device (IED) blast on the eve of Eid-ul-Azha in Pakistan on Sunday. Apart from this, security forces killed five terrorists under anti-terrorism operation.

Four people were killed and two injured in an IED blast in central Kurram region on Sunday, according to Dawn newspaper. District police officer Nisar Ahmad Khan said the IED was planted on the side of the road and a powerful explosion occurred when a car carrying passengers was passing through the spot. All the passengers were going to buy sacrificial animals for Eid-ul-Azha.

According to ARY News channel, security forces killed five terrorists in Khyber district of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa on Sunday. Inter Services Public Relations Pakistan has said that the killed terrorists were involved in attacks on security forces and killing of innocent civilians. Weapons, bullets and explosives have also been recovered from the possession of these terrorists.
